Sweet Resolve by Jill Sanders

Sweet Resolve is the second book in Jill Sanders‘ Lucky in Love series. The first was Unlucky in Love, but Sweet Resolve stands on its own so you don’t have to have read Unlucky in Love to follow the plot of the second book.
Sweet Resolve is the story of Amy and Logan who had an extremely adversarial relationship in junior high and now some twenty years later they meet again when Logan joins his Uncle Gary’s real estate agency.
It was no secret that Logan tormented Amy when they were kids. He teased her until she cried. With her best friend, Kristen, Amy concocts a list of possible ways that she can exact her revenge on Logan after all of these years.
Besides the conflict of the past, there is also the question as to how Logan will fit into his uncle’s agency. As the nephew, will Logan be handed the partnership that Amy has worked so hard for?
Sweet Resolve is a pleasant and fairly predictable read. For those interested in the heat index it is probably 3 out of 5.
I wish that Sanders’ had had a bit more fun with the pranks because that is what initially drew me to the story–not the idea of revenge, but the possibility of humor attached to the pranks. The climax, although foreshadowed, was interesting enough to end the book on a good note.
Who would enjoy this book? Someone looking for a light romance with some sizzle.
NetGalley provided the book in exchange for an honest review.
