I could say we were the epitome of young love with its tempest a pendulum swinging burning hot to icy cold. We dealt impetuously with our emotions too quick to throw up hands in frustration and turn away. We were so cavalier.
The last time with its constant barrage of accusations and insults proved difficult to repair and so we didn’t try.
We moved on. You moved on with a woman fifteen years younger.
Me? I wrote songs and with each composition tried to pretend I wasn’t still in love with you.
Knowledge: when you’re young and think you have all of the time in the world, you throw people away too easily.
