Moonflowers and Luna Moths

moonflower

The moonflower’s petals unfold

its rich scent embraces the night

inviting voracious insects to sup

face turned upward, a boned vessel.

The luna moth spreads its seafoam wings

adorned with extra eyes

lovely luna lives a week then dies.
