Copycat, The Poem

a tongue-in-cheek treatment of a serious subject for the daily prompt.

Copycat, brat, ethics blurred

take someone else’s words.

Look up the meaning inured

rhymes with injured.

A writer devotes a lot of time

pondering the sublime

the rhyme, what a crime

to steal, you’ve no appeal

theft, bereft, not deft

no compassion left.

Ethics blurred, brat, copycat.
