Have you ever had someone paint a picture in your mind so concrete, defined, intricate that you thought you had been there?
My great grandad told me of the day they freed a French town during the war, how the sun spirited through the pine and fortified church to create an Egyptian ray in the morning hours before the town waked, how the sun blinded the Germans to the Allied ascent.
Two days after telling me of the event he died and three days after that I saw a photo online, my great grandad saving us all.
