Holding Yellow

I embrace yellow

in my palm

soft sunshine

silky dandelion

yellow is smooth

like buttercups

Blue washed

with cool frost

and icy sadness

no stars tickling

the firmament

blue is arrogant

with taut chin

hard lips

blue dreams

of ocean depths

far away

far away.

  1. Wonderful descriptions. I especially like..
    “no stars tickling the firmament”
Blue can be a bit pretentious and obvious…and perhaps we forget how warm yellow can be. Love the contrasts here. Thanks for joining in with the prompt. 🙂
