Catch Up Bottle (Procrastination Takes All Forms)

My cool little logo that I’ll add to posts to show that I really am trying to ketchup catch up. Because, you know, I’d rather be fiddling with transforming pictures than catching up with my reviews and poetry.

…I wasn’t supposed to admit that, was I? 😉

Quotes on Procrastination:

Scary: “You may delay, but time will not.”
― Benjamin Franklin

Humorous: “Never put off till tomorrow what may be done day after tomorrow just as well.”
― Mark Twain

Yep: “You can’t just turn on creativity like a faucet. You have to be in the right mood.
What mood is that?
Last-minute panic.”
― Bill Watterson

Sober: “You cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today.”
― Abraham Lincoln

When you put it like that (holy crap!): “Only put off until tomorrow what you are willing to die having left undone”
― Pablo Picasso

Thanks to Goodreads for pages and pages on procrastination which has inspired, mortified, terrified and given me another opportunity to procrastinate.

  1. Procrastination is a state of mind. I prefer to think of it as prioritizing. If you can put things off, they obviously aren’t important to you. Think about it. You don’t put off feeding Scout, do you? 😉

  2. Love the bottle and the advice, Sascha. I must add that there are reasons to procrastinate that I used to live by. Now I know better of course, but here they are: 😸 if you leave it, the task might simply go away (because the world has ended or whatever); 😸 if you’re rushed, you’ll seem to be a busy and important person; 😸 being in hurry is the perfect justification for the mistakes you make. 🐒
