Music Monday is a meme started by Drew @ The Tattooed Book Geek. Pick a song you really like and share it.
I think it’s fair to say that I love music as much as I love books. I can’t even begin to tell you which I would prefer if I was stuck on a desert island so let’s not even go there.
The excellent thing about both of them is that they transcend time. A 200 year old book or song can still be meaningful to you today, if it’s good.
While I was doing a tad of musical research for a flash fiction piece, I remembered a song I heard and loved. It’s from Jefferson Starship, which was once Jefferson Airplane with Grace Slick’s amazing vocals. But this song is sung by Marty Balin, a remarkable talent in his own right who had other hits with Miracles and Runaway. You tell me, does it still play well in 2018?
I’m with you. I love music as much as books. It would be a tough sell if I had to choose one over the other. Ugh the thought!
Yeah, I’m glad that it is (hopefully) something that will never come up. 🙂
lol agreed.
Starship is timeless and ageless. They can play in my bedroom anytime. 😉
ha! 🙂
