Music Monday is a meme started by Drew @ The Tattooed Book Geek. Pick a song you really like and share it.
A billion years ago there was an Australian band called Men at Work that had some big hits in the late 70’s and early 80’s. After they broke up, Colin Hay continued performing on his own and showed up in some odd places like a janitorial closet on Scrubs strumming away on his guitar. Later, “I Don’t Think That I’ll Ever Get Over You” appeared in Zach Braff’s movie, Garden State.
If you’ve ever lost someone, this song will move you to tears. Sobs. Definitely sobs.
“if I live till I was a hundred and two
I just don’t think I’ll ever get over you”

“Without you here, there is less to say.” 🙂
Nice! did this band , when it was together, do a song that mentioned a “vegemite sandwich”?
Yes….I come from a land down under where the women glow and the men thunder…..and somewhere….take a bite of my vegemite sandwich. (I don’t know what I translated that to when I was a kid because I certainly had no knowledge of vegemite…or marmite! 🙂 )
My husband and I travelled around Australia in a campervan for six months when our kids were 2 and 4. Trip of a lifetime. Our 4 year old son loved vegemite.😁
I have not tried vegemite, although I have tried marmite. I’ve also heard it’s one of those things you either love or hate.
That does sound like the trip of a lifetime! 🙂
