August Wrap Up

Oh where, oh where, did August go?

It’s become obvious to me that it’s difficult to keep up with blogging and writing, when there are visitors and vacation despite my desires. The net effect is that I end up feeling frustrated because I can’t write and pretty much couldn’t read so things stacked up. I don’t think even hibernation would help me make the current stack dwindle. So that’s a whine.

Book Reviews

Since I began this blog, I’ve discovered that one of my favorite things that I like to do during vacation, reading, is no longer something that I do in the quantity that I used to. I guess I take a vacation from that too!

I was sent hardcover ARCs from publishers!

I can assure you that September will have more reviews because some of the books I’ve read during that last week of August were for September book tours. Some of the reviews you’ll see will be:

The reviews for I Do Not Trust You and Keeper of the Bees are done and I can tell you now that if you love YA books, these are two to add to your TBR pile!

Writing World

I’m afraid that August was a disappoint to me writing-wise; however, it proved to me that I need to set aside more time to write, even when there are house-guests. Writing is my form of therapy and joy.

I did get to roadtrip! And when I finally get some time carved out to go through and edit photos, I’ll share those with you. In the meantime, here is one from a short visit to historic Edenten, NC.

Today is the first day of September! And there is so much to look forward to! Thanks for reading and I hope to share more with you in the weeks to come!

Observation: Monthly wrap ups go so much quicker when you haven’t reviewed or written much! 😉
