Quickly Quarrelsome, A Quadrille
My body and brain are not as quick as once they were, given now to achy joints, misplaced thoughts, daydreams instead of mindfulness. My censor takes frequent breaks, returning too late to stop the snappy snark my lips spew, with mortified apology following fast.
Sascha Darlington
Such wonderful alliteration here:
“too late to stop the snappy snark my lips spew”
Thank you…now say it five times fast. 🙂 (kidding) I appreciate your reading!
ha… love this, it just rolls of my tongue when I read it aloud…
The benefits of a good daydream are very much underestimated. I love a good daydream.
Yes! I think it can clear the mind, lessen agitation, and all sorts of good things!
Thank you for reading! 🙂
Sure, blame your snarkiness on age. We know better. 😉
😛 Thanks, Maggie.
Keeping that censor on the job can be difficult. Nice phrase: “snappy snark”
It unfortunately is. Thank you so much, Frank! 🙂
like a tongue twister! really neat Sascha!
Thank you so much, Gina. Some of these are definitely fun to write.
Yes, a tongue twister but really well done. I can relate to the achy joints, misplaced thoughts!
So rich in sound, this is. Unfortunately, I can relate to the snappy snark. The older I get, the more I think I know…..”think” being the key word…haha.
Hehe. And, I’ve realized that my mouth works with what it *thinks* it knows. 🙂
Thanks, Mish!
