Just one day to catch up on OctPoWriMo. Not too bad. Since I gave you a posting about cannibal cobras yesterday, I will continue with alliteration today, but with a poem about a not strange creature.

The Watcher
the feeder hushes
squirrels blithely snatch peanuts
unaware of the razor-sharp stare
between the willows lance leaves
crows caw, chases, the watcher lifts
wings wide whoosh of air.

Captured the moment! Glad for the squirrel, sad for the hawk.
Yep. I don’t mind the hawk feeding; he needs to….just not in my yard on my birds and squirrels. 🙁
