First off, oops. I missed Monday. Second off, Too Late Tuesday (or not too late as the case may be).
Ha! Guess what the song’s going to be? You might guess from the title. . . . This is one for you all who love the older classics.
Music Monday is a meme started by Drew @ The Tattooed Book Geek. Pick a song you really like and share it.
“It’s Too Late” is about the end of a relationship. Carole King’s piano playing elevates it from being just another broken-hearted song.
From Wikipedia: In 2003, Tapestry by Carole King was ranked number 36 on Rolling Stone list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.
- “It’s Too Late” won a Grammy for Record of the Year.
- The album also holds the record for most consecutive weeks at number 1 by a female solo artist.
- James Taylor and Joni Mitchell sang background vocals on the album.
“Somethin’ inside has died, and I can’t hide
And I just can’t fake it, oh, no, no, no, no, no”
I have the album. Yep, album.
As soon as I read the title, the song started in my head. And it keeps going and going and going – looks like I will be thinking of you for the rest of the evening (every time I start singing it again 🙂 )
Sorry, Robyn. At least it’s a good song! 😀
