Day 8, 30-Day Song Challenge

A song about drugs OR alcohol. Let’s go for both, separately.

So for drugs, where else to go than Eric Clapton?ย  “Cocaine” by Eric Clapton. There’s an earlier version but he was showboating and not getting to the song and I didn’t have the patience to wait it out. If you want to hear it, it comes up first on youtube with the search of Cocaine and Eric Clapton. For guitar heroes, he’s obviously one to listen to showboating, but I’m just not in the mood. ๐Ÿ˜‰ He’s a youngster in the video as opposed to this one. I will listen to almost anything Clapton except for his recent rendition of “White Christmas” which oddly had a few notes that sounded like they’d escaped from “Layla.” Please, no, “Layla” in “White Christmas.” This “White Christmas” is a definite “skip” for me.

And now for the alcohol. I guess there are lots of avenues to traverse, but the fun one is obviously this: “Cracklin’ Rosie.” I suspect for all of you “youngsters” out there these are new songs. They are, alas, classics….so I hope you enjoy! ๐Ÿ™‚
