Oh, January, where did you go?
As you may have noticed, January started out extremely slowly around the microcosm, and it’s only been in the past week or so where I’ve felt like myself and am feeling the promise of a new year. And, as I mentioned, I’m pretending that Chinese New Year is the start of the year around the microcosm. Why? Just because I felt sick, tired, and self-pitying at the start of January, and I don’t think that’s a good note to start anything, especially a new year on. Of course, we can make any day, week, month the start of something new anytime we want. We just have to want to do it. Maybe want doesn’t even need to factor into it. Just do it.
Book World
Book Reviews
I read a few other books and those reviews will be appearing here during the first couple weeks of February either as part of review tours or to be closer to their publishing date.
Hard copy books I received:
I so have to catch up on my hard copy reading!
Writing World
During January, my writing took a hit. It’s so hard to be creative when you physically and mentally don’t want to. (That should be accompanied by a whiny “whaaaaaaaa!”)
It’s all picking back up, and I’m already looking forward to the A to Z challenge in April, which I hope to be better prepared for than in previous years (famous last words).
The Blog
In the next few weeks I am going to begin the process of reorganizing this blog so that it’s easier to find things. I have published nearly 2800 posts, which is mind boggling to me, and makes the process of organizing a bit daunting. My only hope is that I don’t break my blog. haha.
Thanks to those of you who’ve joined me in the past few weeks. ๐ You all make this so much fun and so worthwhile!
2800 posts – you are amazing! good luck on all your projects
Thanks. Most of them are indie book tours and cover reveals, although I was surprised by how many book reviews I’d done. I haven’t checked how much writing.
You have an amazing amount of reviews. I write them but never get around to posting something else will crop up. You are super good at it too
Thank you. I appreciate that. Sometimes I find it hard to write them and it always takes more time than I think it will, which is the only bad part. ๐
it does really take up a lot of time! and i have reviews in my drafts, i checked almost 10! Yikes! but i am a perfectionist and hate that i want to go over them till they are ready to be posted, hence the huge backlog. so i salute your efficiency!
I admire your perfectionism. I’ve become a factory of imperfect objects. (Maybe I should add that to my blog title.) ๐
but you get things done!!
It’s good to have you back at full strength. Your ambition to organize makes me glad I did it at the end of last year when I had closer to 28 posts. I do not envy you your task of organizing 2800.
