We had snow today in the DC Metro area. While Scout loves the snow, he loves it on his own terms, which means when a ball comes out for playing in the snow, he escapes to indoors where it’s less frenetic, warmer, and he might just get a good boy chew (he did).
Sophie Stella on the other hand…

These are just a couple of the shots I took. Unfortunately I have to brush up on taking action photos of dogs because I had some great ones but they came out slightly blurry. π Sophie Stella is too fast and I’m too slow.
gorgeous!
Thank you. She is so graceful in her movements. And now I have an “aw, shoot.” I should have taken video. π
You can takes stills from the vid, yes?
Yes, except I was using my old dslr with no video function. Next time I’ll be armed with 2 cameras. π
Good plan!
What a sweet girl!
She is! Thanks so much! π
She looks lovely. For horses I use shutter priority and set it to 1/400. That speed will capture the trot and canter.
Thanks for the info. I will definitely try it. She was zooming and I was disappointed when I saw the quality of most of the images.
She looks like Lassie! Beautiful. We had a “little” snow this morning. Knee-deep. A rarity in AZ. I’m off to shovel paddocks.
Knee-deep sounds like more than a little. Time for snow angels!
Dogs are great at turning potentially great pictures into blurry messes.
Fer sure!
