How cool is this? Viewing auroras is on my bucket list. (This list seems to be increasing daily.) Are you a lucky person who’s seen auroras? Where?
Holy smokes! An aurora that resembles a dragon recently loomed in the skies over Iceland, and NASA scientists aren’t exactly sure why it showed up when it did.

Wow! I’ve seen the southern aurora – it was nothing like that. Not at all. Wow!
Neat. I’ve always heard “northern lights” and am stupidly surprised at southern, which I shouldn’t be. 🙂
A bit more rare, I think, but definitely awe-inspiring. My first thoughts when I saw it was that ‘we are so small’ and the next one was ‘it’s so cold!’
lol Where did you see them? I took a quick look after your comment and saw the best places to see them. The article indicated there aren’t many because there aren’t as many land masses as in the north.
I was on a ship, and we were off-course due to a storm the previous day …
I’ve seen them for many years living in Alaska. And they are fabulous! The Southwest, however, has the most incredible sunsets.
And the southwest has some pretty incredible thunderstorms.
I don’t see a dragon at all. I see a giant head of lettuce out for revenge. Did I just fail my Rorschach test?
