Another week gone! I feel like I can breathe a bit easier now that the A to Z Challenge is done and I can get back to routines.

Thanks to Samantha Elizabeth at Taking on a World of Words for hosting WWW Wednesdays!

What do you think you’ll read next?

Current Reads

Hurricane Season by [Melleby, Nicole]

I just started Hurricane Season by Nicole Melleby, meaning that I’m at chapter three in a book with very short chapters. So far it strikes me as a strange little novel geared toward middle grades. The story is about 6th grader Fig, short for Finola, and her father, a once famous composer who seems to have had a nervous breakdown. Or at least that’s my take so far.

I’ve also picked back up Dean Koontz’ The Whispering Room after taking a hiatus because I just couldn’t get into it or maybe didn’t want to get into it because I’ve been tearing through the pages since I started reading it again. This is the second book in the Jane Hawk series. I have two more to read and then I have the ARC of the latest which will be released on May 14. I am going to have to do some quick reading to get all of them done. 😀

Finished Reads

Under the Table by Stephanie Evanovich. A three butterfly review.

David Bowie (Little People, BIG DREAMS) by Isabel Sanchez Vegara, author and Ana Albero, illustrator. A 5 butterfly review!

Fighting for Our Forever by Heidi McLaughlin. A 3 butterfly and a ladybug review.

Dutch Girl: Audrey Hepburn and World War II by Robert Matzen. A 4 butterfly and a ladybug review!

Sweet Home Louisiana by Erin Nicholas. So much fun! The 5 butterfly review is coming up next week.
