Currently Reading

I am reading Susan Wiggs’ The Oysterville Sewing Circle and I’m enjoying it so much that I hardly want to put it down. However, in the flashback I’m currently reading, the childhood dog just died (this isn’t a spoiler because at the beginning some 10+ years later we know he’s dead 🙁 ) and the tears flowed down my face. While I’ve seriously given up fiction/non fiction memoir books about dogs (because the dog always dies), it’s sometimes unavoidable when you’re reading.

I just had an “oops” moment when I saw this isn’t published until next month. I put it down for the wrong month. Oh, well, one ARC will have been happily read in advance!

We won’t discuss the fact that I’m still wading through Nancy Thayer’s A Nantucket Wedding. [insert sigh]
