It’s not a good start in January to miss a Friday Fictioneers but miss last week’s I did. I didn’t even look at the picture! 😥 I am back this week and hopefully many more to come. Like the title, “I Feel Good!”
Thank you as always to Rochelle who makes this all happen!

“I Feel Good”
“Here.” Megan hands me, Vanilla Swiss Almond, with a spoon. How tempting to drown my heartbreak in a billion calories of creamy goodness!
The carton’s perspiring. Chocolate-covered almonds taunt.
“No, I can’t. He dumped me because I lost 80 pounds. He didn’t care I was unhealthy.”
“Oh, hun.”
“I could stuff ice cream down my throat with a nice cabernet chaser, but you know what?”
“What?”
“Running makes me happy and that’s what I’m going to do.”
Sneakers slapping pavement, mist coating my skin, I feel alive. Running gives way to dancing and laughter. James Brown sings: “I Feel Good.”

A nice portrait of an addictive personality
Thank, Neil. I hadn’t thought of it like that, but you’re right! 🙂
Dear Sascha,
Good for her. If he dumped her for losing all the weight, the problem is his. Well done.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Yes! He was feeling threatened because of her change. Thanks, Rochelle! 🙂
As a runner – the guy must be mad to dump her for being healthy! Keep on running I say! – and that means you can eat all the ice cream you want! 🙂
lol definitely! thanks, Iain! 🙂
