Howdy! How are you all doing in your parts of the world? I hope everyone is well and coping. In times like these, you observe how well (and not well) people cope. I guess it’s always good to remember that people are going through their own things that we know nothing about.
Anyway, that’s all I’m going to say for now and the foreseeable future alluding to the virus, unless something unpredictable happens. I don’t know about you, but there has been so much unpredictable stuff lately that my motto is quickly becoming: never say never. I’m looking for a better one.
Princess For A Day

On February 20, I told you all that I had completed the Princess story, tentatively entitled, “Prince of a Guy,” I’ve been working on for the upcoming Princess for a Day anthology scheduled to be published in May. I was done. And then I read it and decided that I really didn’t like how it sounded in first person. So in the past couple of weeks, I’ve been rewriting.
The story is now in third person, cleaner, and still being proofed by yours truly. The deadline is March 20. I would like to get it in before, but I really want to be completely happy with it, which might be asking for a lot. It’s like wanting something you’ve created to be perfect while also knowing that just isn’t possible.
The one piece of advice I can give regarding this experience is that if a story isn’t working, try it in a different pov. When I write in first person, I hope to hear a unique voice in my head, a conversational one. A narrator that wants his or her story told. For this one that voice never came. (Where did it go?! I want it back!)
Blog and Life
It goes without saying that by concentrating on my story in my free time (non-working time) that I’ve let my blog slide a bit. I am hoping to be back on track but I’m also hoping, that as often as this happens, that I can be a little less neurotic about being on top of things regarding my blog. Yeah. Good luck to me.
I also celebrated….had….a birthday last week. I find it to be a time of reflection any more. So I reflected.
Oh, and if a bunch of reviews show up, it isn’t because I binged. It’s because I’m behind on reviews for the books I have read. The bad thing, as you might guess, is that sometimes you forget some aspects that made a story great. (I hope I don’t. 🙁 )
So, take care you all and thanks for dropping by! 💖
