Music Monday: Just Give Me a Reason

Hallo! Happy Monday, I hope. Okay. I know, it’s tough, and bad. I won’t pretend that this song is a magic pick-you(or me)-up.

I love P!nk. In a world of trendy, she possesses a REAL voice. She’s irreverent, funny, and thoughtful. “Just Give Me a Reason” is one of those thoughtful ones. I will never hear this song without thinking about my SIL who loved it and died just a little over 4 years ago after succumbing to depression.

At the time I write this, P!nk and her 3 year old son have been diagnosed with covid-19. Please keep them in your thoughts. Such a scary time.

Just give me a reason, just a little bit’s enough

Just a second we’re not broken just bent, and we can learn to love again

It’s in the stars, it’s been written in the scars on our hearts

We’re not broken just bent, and we can learn to love again

Songwriters: Alecia Moore / Jeff Bhasker / Nate Ruess

  1. Funny what someone hears. I LOVE this song. It’s sad, yet hopeful. To me it epitomizes what so many couples go through but “we can learn to love again.” However the videos always intrigue me. Sorry this brings back sad memories for you. 🙁
