Music Monday: When the Party’s Over by Billie Eilish

I’m probably way too old to be a Billie Eilish fan girl but, hey, as I’ve said before I’m never going to be someone who says all the good music was written decades ago! As she and her brother, Finneas, continue to produce music, I am more and more loving it. Billie also seems to be having fun and enjoying everything around her. I love that she’s so not jaded or above the whole thing. I hope she has many, many great years without the ubiquitous haters coming to visit.

This song relies heavily on vocals and they’re beautifully done. I hope you enjoy!

Don’t you know I’m no good for you?

I’ve learned to lose you, can’t afford to

Tore my shirt to stop you bleedin’

But nothin’ ever stops you leavin’

Songwriters: Finneas Baird O’Connell

  1. I’m with you. I have heard contemporaries say: there’s been no good music since….sigh. That’s kind of sad. There is always good music. And mostly you don’t even need to look for it! πŸ™‚

  2. Last fall was the first time I heard “Ocean Eyes” and was instantly like, “I might not like everything she does (not into Bad Guy), but I’ll be interested in what she has released and will release in the future.”

I’ve listened to her new single, “My Future”, at least once I day since she released it.
