Total Eclipse

Total Eclipse

I understand, now, the meaning
of eclipse, as light grays from day
as thoughts of months forward
stir sadness, the holidays without you.
Every day becomes one more day
of wishing for one last hug.
I tuck sadness, a sorry blanket,
around my hardening heart.

      1. No more…. Obvious… Calcined… calcium be the word or something that makes up rock! It’d be call petrification if it were upon “wood”
        Or, no more hard hearts!
