Alignment, #OctPoWriMo Day 6

Many thanks to De Jackson at dVerse for this thought provoking prompt for Monday’s quadrille. If you’d like to take part, click on the link! And because I’m behind, I’m including this for #octpowrimo! 🙂

Alignment

The night sky showed an arc of glory
westerly the moon, Jupiter, Saturn,
easterly Mars alone
as if someone held a magnet
aligning the planets, moon.
Sophie and I sauntered,
my eyes skyward
her nose downward tracking
both attuned, mindful.
Crickets chant October’s call.

  1. Oooo. “Crickets chant October’s call” is a wonderful ending for this, Sascha.
Apologies for the late visit; I’ve been out of town celebrating my hubby’s 50th bday. 😉
