Many thanks to Lydia Lee Lyberg at dVerse for providing me with a word I only associated with wine: inglenook. Our task was to use “inglenook” in a quadrille, a poem of 44 words.

Christmas 2020 The fire snaps, crackles embers soar upward in the inglenook we sing timeless carols our hands warmed by mugs of mulled wine. This year we celebrate via computer, touch fingertips to screen, and sing: "I’ll be home for Christmas if only in my dreams."
Sleigh bells ring, are ya listenin’ …… Yes, sadly fingertips to screen will be the way many of us sing/communicate. Nice write!
Many thanks, Helen! 🙂
It’s a nice scene and a fine way to make the best of things
Thank you, Larry. I think it’s what a lot of us will be doing.
Yes unfortunately until further notice we are stuck
Sweet, real, and poignant

Sweet and tender thoughts.
You had me at mulled wine 🙂
A covid Christmas carol 🙂
A fireplace behind the computer screen is not quite the same.
You have my heart with this one 💝💝💝
