Cold Moon Rising

Hello to you!

It’s been too many days since I’ve visited. Honestly I wanted to find a song for Music Monday but was struggling. It was after Christmas and I really wanted to find a fresh song for the new year but didn’t find anything that wasn’t too poppish or cheesy. I haven’t stopped looking–it still might come.

Anyway, I am in my traditional New Year’s spot of OBX. It was iffy this year but here we are, minus the beloved Faithful Companion, Scout, of which I was very aware as I was packing and also a little relieved that we wouldn’t be staying in the same house so I wouldn’t be thinking of him constantly.

I have words bubbling inside of me that want to form into something but for now, I present you with ocean pictures. Yesterday, the ocean was calm. Today, whitecapped. The full Cold Moon (the native American naming) rose this evening and Miss Sophie joined for picture taking.

12/28/20, Southern Shores, not quite full moon over a calm ocean.
Cold winds and white caps. Whoosh!
Miss Sophie and the rising Cold Moon. (She is watching a woman walk up the public accessway. “What’s she doing there?”)
