You know, I’ve watched “Big Fish” several times. It’s that 2003 Tim Burton fantasy based on the novel by Daniel Wallace starring almost everyone you could imagine like Ewan McGregor, Albert Finney, Billy Crudup, Jessica Lange, Helena Bonham Carter, Alison Lohman, Robert Guillaume, Marion Cotillard, Steve Buscemi, and Danny DeVito (actors swiped from Wikipedia). But I don’t remember that song that closed the movie, which means I have to go back and watch it again. Poor me. Boo hoo.
The closing song was requested by Tim Burton from this little old band called Pearl Jam, you may have heard of them ;). Yep, since this blog began, I’ve not been quiet about my adoration of Eddie Vedder. Anyway…..
My new Pandora station has been playing this song over and over and I don’t know why I haven’t heard/paid attention to it before. It’s a beautiful song. And, yes, once again, you have Pandora to thank. (If only they’d pay me for recommending them!) (Or if anyone anywhere would pay me…heh.) 😉
And the sky breaks at dawn
Shedding light upon this town
They’ll all come around
‘Cause the man of the hour
Is taking his final bow
Goodbye for now
Eddie Jerome Vedder
The video is oddly enough from the Roadies TV show instead of the “Big Fish” movie. Enjoy.
Great song
I agree! 🙂
