  1. I had a similar experience but with a mama cottontail who came to me in the barn to help her two bunnies that were being attacked by a squirrel. Animals know who is their friend. I was able to rescue her babies and then mom moved them to a different burrow. Too bad the ducklings couldn’t be re-united with mom, but at least they will be all right.
