Update of Update 8/21/21

Updated to add: My other half just came back from getting the covid test and it was negative. The doc said there are other things out there. I just jumped to the conclusion that I was feeling bad by the obvious thing on everyone’s minds.

I had the best intentions of getting back from vacation and being a perky little ray of sunshine. You may have noticed that didn’t happen. Instead, I’ve been drinking lots of tea and popping acetaminophen to battle an ever-present headache and sore throat, which has been accompanied by the feeling of having finished a marathon run that lasted over days in which I did not sleep. In short, that means body aches and fatigue. I’ve finally come to the conclusion that somehow, despite my best efforts, I’ve gotten a breakthrough case of Covid. (I’ve had both doses of the Pfizer vaccine.)

I’m ensconced on my sofa with a cup of PG Tips and Sophie (the little sweetie) lying nearby and my laptop. One of the main reasons why I’m telling you all this is that I’m far behind on my book reviews and I’m going to eke a few out. But my brain currently reacts like a sieve so if you read something that doesn’t quite make sense, please, please, let me know so that I can fix it. I’d be very grateful.

On a side note, I’ve been pretty cautious with my health in the past year and have carried that through despite being vaccinated. This just goes to show how easy it is to catch this new variant. Your health is one thing you can’t get back once it’s severely compromised. Take care!

And because we all deserve a little cuteness, here is a picture of Sophie on downtime at the beach.

  1. Oh bless her! Sorry to hear you’re so poorly. Have you taken a home test and it’s proven positive?
Thank goodness you’ve had both jabs and thus some protection against severity.

  2. Sophie is a beautiful dog.

I’m so sorry to learn that you are sick. If you don’t mind, I’ll be praying for your health. (If you do mind, I’ll be praying for your health.)

    1. 💖 Sophie is as beautiful as she is smart and soon I’ll write more about her. And, thank you. I’m not feeling horrible just all over fatigued–especially the brain. I appreciate any help I can get. 🙂
