Music Monday: Like I Used To by Sharon Van Etten & Angel Olsen

Do you like acoustic music? I love it. That new radio station that I told you all about in last week’s Music Monday plays two hours of acoustic music every Sunday morning. The show is called Acoustic Café and if you click on that link, you can actually listen to the shows.

On one recent episode they played this beautiful acoustic harmony, “Like I Used To,” by Sharon Van Etten and Angel Olsen. I guess this song falls into alternative or indie folk or as those of us who love music like to say: very good music category. Prior to this, I don’t believe that I’ve ever heard either Sharon Van Etten and Angel Olsen, but now I want to hear more!

Well, my head’s gone today

Sell my past for a way

To sing and have something left to say

Pray my hands, pray my voice

Give the reason, take away

Make believe an order for to stay

Songwriters: Angel L Olsen / Sharon Van Etten

The above version is good, but the acoustic version below is even better (IMHO).
