Blurb: It is strongly advised that you do not make this purchase. With the understanding that yours is a unique case, if you do decide to proceed, it is required that you make a full payment upon our receipt of your approval. The handler will not be known to you, but rest assured failure is not an option for us. It is regrettable that you will no longer be making any additional usage of the service.

“. . . dangers lurk in the blur, that grey area between the day and the night where uncertainty lingers.”

Mark is set in an English town, written in the first person. This short story follows a local policeman who is helpful and likes to stick to the rules. However, there is more to him than meets the eye. He soon finds himself caught up with the investigation of unsolved murders.

I enjoyed this short read. I especially like how the main character talks to the reader throughout the book. There is a twist at the end which wasn’t expected.  Henry wrote in some strong characters who were easy to visualise.

I would recommend this book if you wanted a quick thriller.

I give Mark 4 stars

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
