I’m still trying to get back into writing (amongst other things). This week is a win, meaning that I actually wrote. 😉 Many thanks to Rochelle for Friday Fictioneers and to Dale Rogerson for sharing one of her incredible pictures.

Jasper Walton, Inventor
“Jasper was designing a better womb in utero,” Muriel says.
Muriel’s favorite phrase is “a place for everything.”
Jasper’s is “everything has an other-worldly place.”
Even him, which is why he’s built a radio-telescope. He’s certainly an alien. He’s been called a freak, a weirdo for decades. “I want to communicate with my own species.”
What happened October 31st?
Bright light. Bowie’s “Space Oddity” blaring. Jasper gone amid a retreating whirring noise.
“Why would they keep him? They’re super advanced.” Muriel adds after a moment, her jaw set: “They just better send him back if they know what’s good for them.”

This is different–and very enjoyable. But I can’t decide what to believe. 🙂
lol Thanks, Maggie. Believe what you think would be happy. 🙂
Oh what fun, Sascha!
I think he went home. Fun story, and people believe everything these days.
Dear Sascha,
What fun. I wonder if they’ll tire of Jasper and send him back? Muriel seems to think so doesn’t she? Good one.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Aw, Muriel loves Jasper :).
Sascha, my first reaction to the first floating turkey was to smash that sucker flat–thought it was a bug! Really cute, once I realized what it was 🙂
