It’s been ages since I’ve done a wrap up. I looked backed and–gulp–it’s been more than ages, try, like a millennium! But I’m compelling normalcy to appear once again in my life, as I imagine many of us are trying or hoping for. So here goes. Of course, we must start with the cliched but necessary: where did January go?!
Book World
All of the above books were reviewed here except for The Sweeney Sisters, a library read that I gave ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฆ.
Writing World
Oh, don’t I wish there were one–writing world that is. This is where I must commit to do better in February! I wrote seven pieces of poetry and flash fiction. Big ugh!
Personal Update
January was a good month for me. Huckleberry is still working his way into being a member of the family and undergoing his heartworm treatments. I knitted, baked, read, took pictures, exercised, and tried to commit myself to making this a better year regardless of what outside influences might have in mind. ๐
We had snow and a real winter in January. Surprise! I took quite a few pics of birds and squirrels in the snow but some were forgettable.
In case pictures speak louder than words:

So glad Huck is settling in. Sophie is gorgeous!
Thanks, Di. Sophie and Huck still have some interactions, or should I say that Sophie shows her disapproval of Huck’s teasing, but I imagine that things will even out when we can begin exercising him more after his treatment. Sophie is gorgeous. ๐
I’m so pleased.
I hope you find a pup soon. Any prospects?
We’ve had a few phone calls in response to our ad, two were not what we were looking for, and the third was too far away, though he was willing to bring the dog to us, send us a video link of pup and Mum, but the more he talked, the twitchier I became. I’m in contact with a breeder though so we have feelers out.
Gorgeous photos, particularly the one of Sophie.
Thanks, Sheree! I’m battling the taking pictures while wearing glasses and haven’t conquered yet. The only bad photos of Sophie are when she’s moving, which is actually quite often. She’s very photogenic! ๐
Yes, I much prefer taking photos of things that are stationary

Thanks for visiting! ๐
Scratchings for cake, lol. Love the dogs, and the rest too.
Thanks, Paul. Glad to see I’m not the only one with ….er….THAT kind of sense of humor. ๐
what’s humour without a bent or twist I say, lol.
Good point! ๐
