The afternoon passes like that éclair spread with buttery dark chocolate a brandy whiff; choux filled with creamy eggy custard I still taste on my tongue although I promised “a nibble” which became nibbles. I raised guilty eyes. You grinned. “Life’s to be enjoyed.”

This made me hungry for an eclair. LOL. Nice poem.
Thank you! (I must be wanting an eclair myself to have written about it. ha)
An afternoon as sweet as an eclair. Oh yes, one to remember and try and nibble at. Wonderful quadrille.
Thank you so much, K.! 🙂
You’re very welcome.
Eclairs! Haven’t nibbled on one of them for years! My mouth is watering! Or should that be dribbling!
Well….beautifully presented, luscious words…I mean I really feel like biting into that eclair…butequally, so sensual…
Thank you so much, Ain! 🙂
Sascha – I would never be able to eat just a small piece of an éclair – that’s one of my all-time favorite pastries!

I know! I haven’t had one in ages…time to search one out, I think. Thank you for reading! 🙂
It is indeed, and with gusto and no guilt either I say.
Yes! Thank you so much, Paul! 🙂
Sometimes a nibble is followed by nibbles… but life is to be enjoyed I think
Yes! Thank you so much, Bjorn. 🙂
Eclairs deserve more than a nibble. A vivid little quadrille!
Thank you so much, Mish! 🙂
Nice imagery for a pleasant afternoon: you want it to transpire slowly. Loved. Thanks.
Thanks so much, Selma! 🙂
Beautiful imagery👌. It grows much beyond Eclairs for an imaginative mind.
Thank you so much. I am glad to hear it worked. 🙂
