Welcome to WWW Wednesday! To take part visit Taking on a World of Words.
We won’t even mention how long it’s been since I did a WWW Wednesday! (garble, garble garble) But at least we’re back on board.
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
Currently Reading
I actually have quite a few current reads of several different genres or media going. The main read is By Any Other Name by Lauren Kate about an editor who discovers that her favorite writer is not who she thought she was. Unfortunately at this point, almost half-way through, I can tell that it’s a author who usually writes young adult novels trying to write about adults because if any professional editor behaved the way this MC has, she wouldn’t have a job long after a rather immature blow up at the cash cow author. Unless something changes, this might be my first 2 butterfly book in ages.
In tandem, I’m reading three mysteries, The Paris Apartment by Lucy Foley, which has been highly acclaimed and compared to Agatha Christie and is told through multiple, interesting and mysterious povs; Truly, Madly by Heather Webber, a fun cozy mystery with a little supernatural thrown in; and an audiobook, Sunburn by Laura Lippman, which I’m 2/3s of the way through and which is keeping me guessing. I just started Lures, a book of poetry by Adam Vines. I am also sporadically reading: The Last Wild Horses by Maja Lunde (dark and semi-depressing) and Quiet by Susan Cain (a nonfiction book about introverts).
