Music Monday: All the Stars by the Wailin’ Jennys

Monday, Monday, so good to me. Ah, a different song, but, Monday is good. Today is brilliant.

There are some artists whose music I would probably fill every slot of Music Mondays with. One of those artists would be the Wailin’ Jennys. The voices of these three Canadian ladies blend so perfectly and make this golden afternoon all the better.

It would be easy to hear them sing “All the Stars” and believe that it was a love story rather than an acknowledgment that sometimes we don’t know the other person we’re in a relationship with.

We were here yesterday, now you seem so far away

We were here yesterday, I heard you saying you don’t know me

You know one side of a story, oh you don’t know me

Writer(s): Ruth Carmel Moody

There was no live video for this song so I suggest closing your eyes and letting these beautiful voices float over you.

Other Wailin’ Jennys songs that have been on Music Monday:

Ten Mile Stilts

Apocalypse Lullaby

  1. I love the Wailin’ Jennies. You are the first person I’ve ever met other than Forgottenman who knows who they are! Unfortunately, the video doesn’t wok, but we’ll track it down…
