We’re sliding in under the wire here with Music Monday. But, you know, better late than never!
Originally Music Monday started out as a way to share my favorite songs, but as time as passed, it’s become something more. It’s a day in which I can share new artists or new discoveries. Today is a new discovery, new to me, but perhaps you’re already aware of them, especially if you’re in Europe and watch the Eurovision Song Contest.
Rockin’ 1000 is a group of rock musicians, most from Italy. “The group was originally assembled in July 2015 as a way to ask the Foo Fighters to visit the town of Cesena, Italy.[1][2] ” (From Wikipedia.) There is something spine-tingling about watching 1000 people who love music perform familiar songs. It elevates the song, which is saying a lot for a song like Under Pressure that is already emotional thanks to excellent writing and David Bowie, Freddy Mercury and Queen.
Tell me what you think! If you liked this video, Rockin’ 1000 has more. Check them out.
Now, I’m going to look for an American version that needs an old singer who has more enthusiasm than voice. 😉
I love that you find these rather obscure songs/recordings. Not a fan of Under Pressure to begin with so this was “meh.” But thanks for giving me a chance to be negative! 🙂
Thanks, Maggie. And many thanks for your support and buying me a coffee! 💖
