Some days you encounter individuals whose primary goal is to try to knock you or others down. Empathy can only take you so far, compelling you to raise your spirits by singing along to Taylor Swift’s “Mean.”
Taylor’s song “Mean” was inspired by critical reaction to her less than stellar appearance singing with Stevie Nicks at the Grammy’s. Some critics claimed: “Her career was over!” Heh. One particular critic hit particularly low thus inspiring this song. Amusingly enough he claimed that Taylor Swift would be relegated to past teenage phenoms like Miley Cyrus et al. Huh. What ever happened to Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus? 😉
I love singing along to this song. It’s thumbing your nose at the people who want to make your road a little tougher; you get to have fun doing it and feel a lot better because of the bouncy tune.
