The NaNoWriMo Wrap Up

I am glad that I gave this a day, which added not only distance, but a better perspective. If I had written yesterday, I would have trounced this experience pretty soundly. Today, feeling as though the stress has finally been alleviated, mostly, I can offer a better opinion. Continue reading

NaNoWriMo Day 30 (b), Soup’s Off

Winner 2018 - Square

I want to thank all of you who supported me by liking this crazy, weird story and/or offering kind “rah rahs” when I needed them.

It’s done. I’m done in. I’m thinking of all the things I’m going to catch up on, which makes me feel a little energized. And, maybe since the latter part of this story jelled a bit, I may revisit it.

Thanks again.

Observations: Well, we’re almost there. I won’t jinx anything now. When I hit the 50,000, I’ll write more on the observations and probably have a summary tomorrow.

NaNoWriMo Day 28 (a?), Soup’s Off

Observation: I’M STUCK!!! I’ve been trying to come up with this awesome climax for hours, you know how you do. You go around doing other mundane things like search for the bottom part of the Christmas tree that has somehow disappeared from the box where it should be. Gremlins done it! They can be my climax! But no, I really can’t have gremlins.

Help! 🙂

Stuff: I’m mentally wearing down and I still have other things to do (besides nano). I’m 4416 words from the finish line. I have the remaining scenes in my head, which if I get them written should take me well over the mark.

Stuff: No observations at the moment. So it’s all just stuff.

The next few bits are going up piecemeal. For anyone who’s followed my serials over the past two years, you might find some fun, familiar bits in the next few installments, because I figured, why not? When I go back to revise this the story is going to need a major overhaul anyway since it’s only been in the last 10-15,000 words that it’s started to come together.

Thanks again for all of you support. Without it, I probably would have thrown in the typewriter … computer … towel.

NaNoWriMo Day 24, Soup’s Off

Stuff: You may not believe this but I’m actually a few thousand words ahead because I just kept typing last night. Of course, I’m now going to read through to make sure some of it at least makes sense.

I think it’s gotten easier because I now have scenes popping up in my head in a series rather than me sitting at the computer and pulling word by word from a stingy word vault.

Disclaimer: It’s fun, but it’s still draft.

However, I am posting up to the next chapter and then after I’ve read that to make sure it’s not TOTALLY embarrassing, just a little embarrassing, I’ll post the remainder.

Observations: Now this is more like it. This was far more fun. Hopefully, if you read it, you’ll think so too. Making stuff up, now that’s fun. 😉

Disclaimer: Draft.
